Reporting to: Director of People and Operations
As the Head of Product, you will play a key role in developing the Product Team’s capability, as well as being responsible for the quality of the products and services it delivers to our customers.
What you'll be doing in the role
The Product Team is responsible for implementing strategy, building the roadmap, applying agile principles to organise work and working with the organisation to bring products and services into production. A key part of the role will be to build capability across the organisation to facilitate product development, launch, and continuous improvement. You’ll bring global best practice to the design of the Function and also respond thoughtfully to the specific strategic needs of Makers.
Working with the Director of People and Operations as well as Senior Management Team (SMT) to define the short, medium and long term evolution of our product suite.
Bringing best practices on agile, project management and customer experience.
Developing an iterative and evidence led approach to product design and improvement.
Leading the end-to-end full product life-cycle.
Owning and maintaining product documentation ensuring curriculum and associated documentation are clear and easily adopted by other teams.
Building capabilities across the rest of the organisation to implement and improve new products.
Helping to develop and coach other team members on products.
Overseeing the continuous improvements of our products.
As a manager, you will:
Inspire your own team and the rest of the organisation to bring the very best product practice to Makers.
Ensure your own team and the whole organisation has the right product skill set either through training or recruiting.
Bring a collaborative cross-team product design and development approach to Makers.
Be able to influence the rest of the organisation without always having direct line management responsibility.
Drive process improvements and adoption and keep pace with rapid growth while motivating others to meet the challenges.
Contribute to and drive forward the product strategy.
Set up and ensure KPIs are successfully achieved.

What you’ll bring to the role
Experience as Head of Product, Senior Product Manager, Project Manager or Service Design Expert with agile, product management and customer experience design.
Product knowledge - understanding of product development and best practice.
Flexible approach - is theoretical and hands on, capable of both doing the work and teaching others.
Inspiring and collaborative - to assess new ideas and roll new products out successfully.
Efficient project management & process improvement skills.
Data driven and results oriented.
