Makers is increasing the number of apprentices we’re training under our Apprenticeships umbrella and the types of qualifications we’ll be offering too! You’re going to join our team as the main person responsible for Quality Assurance and Compliance.

You’ll be working with all of our clients (Apprentices and Employers) along with internal teams to ensure we’re fully compliant with all aspects of our sales and operations. You’ll have full autonomy to reason with everyone on what needs to be updated and changed. You’re creative and have great attention to detail. You demonstrate this by showing us why in your application. You’re collaborative yet autonomous and enjoy being given clear targets and the freedom to develop your own tactics.

You can balance the needs of the industry and regulators with the needs of the internal teams who are trying to reinvent digital skills education. About Apprenticeships at Makers

Our Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship programme is a close copy of the successful software engineering training we’ve been running for the past 5 years. We front-load the training so by the time an Apprentice is on-site with the employer, they can hit the ground running immediately.

We’re looking to grow our Apprenticeship team to help with our accelerated our growth. Our unique market position will allow us to grow the function and the team nationwide so there’s plenty of room for growth within the team.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Ensuring Makers remains compliant in all aspects of Apprenticeship delivery
  • Getting Makers ready for an OFSTED / ESFA inspection
  • Upgrading our processes and policies as needed
  • Maintain relationships with our stakeholders and clients to ensure they have the right processes in place for Apprentices
  • Working closely with all internal teams to make sure we’re :100_emoji: on our plans to be awesome at Apprenticeships
  • Ensuring we’re submitting our data reports to claim funding on time

What you’ll be expected to accomplish in your first three months?

Things we’re looking for:

  • You’ll be comfortable wading into our files and policies to push updates and do what’s needed to get things going.
  • You’ll be super organised - there’s a lot of work involved that you’ll need to take over from the current Head of Operations
  • You’ll be meticulous in assessing the quality of our provision against regulation guidelines and will ensure the whole Apprenticeships team behaves & acts within the regulations
  • We’re in the middle of changing CRM’s. You’ll be working with the Admissions Team / Marketing Team and Head of Operations to make sure we collect the right information in the right places

Location: Our Apprenticeships office in Barbican. Once familiar with the layout you’re free to work from either office (Barbican or Aldgate) or work remotely.

Salary: We’ll offer in the region of £32,000pa, depending on previous (relevant) experience. After a year in the role, you'll be encouraged to set your own salary at least once a year (how do I set my own salary?)
